Corset will give you a sexy look but kill your sex life

I never in my life imagined that a woman could earn a living by the mere fact that she has a big booty, smooth, light complexion and tiny midriff.

I am made to understand that this calibre of women have found some space in the dictionary. And no, it is not ‘harlot’ or ‘sex worker.’ They are called socialites. The true of their business(es) is not known. Nonetheless, they’ve found acceptance.

They will do anything for an hour-glass figure, and rightly so, because many men will ogle at that. As a result, spandex and skin-tight outfits are a must for many women, even during workouts in a gym.

Those who can’t hack the demands of the gym prefer wearing corsets to achieve that figure-eight look. But their is a down side to wearing corsets, including low libido.

It is time women ditched the corset, after all you can’t support your confidence with one. Corsets, says obesity expert, Dr Lyudmilla Shchukina of Holistic Living Farm, a weight loss clinic, are bad for health. In fact, the tighter the worse.

As much as they might give the illusion of a perfect body corsets can lead to problems such as gasping for air as you struggle to relieve yourself.

The pressure on your kidneys, bladder, liver, intestines, lungs and blood vessels will in the long run cause a host of illnesses as well as send your libido down south.

“At best, the corset will limit the space for food in the stomach,” Dr Lyudmilla says. “At worst, one will suffer from kidney stones, develop weak bones, muscles and ligaments, experience serious constipation and indigestion,” she warns.

In compacting the torso, the corset – or waist trainer as some may call it – will interfere with peristaltic flow of food in the alimentary canal. This will in turn cause obstruction and bloating. If the pressure persists, the pain will be unbearable. Excretion, in the end, will also be painful as the compacted sludge may push the limits at the rectum.

The corset also lowers the capacity for lung function. “The user struggles a lot to breath and will often exhibit symptoms similar to emphysema,” Dr Lyudmilla further cautions.

But perhaps what should worry women more is the risk of losing the backbone function. The corset gives the impression that the body is supported by an exoskeleton and therefore, the bones and ligaments tend to lax and lose the function.

Therefore, if wearing a corset becomes a lifestyle, then at some point, it will be impossible to live without one. Finally, who doesn’t know that mechanical pressure on the body works on blood vessels with negative results? Anything that affects blood flow, Dr Lyudmilla warns, will bring down libido. “A vibrant sex life is dependent on proper blood flow,” she says.
