COLUMBUS (WCMH) — An NBC News Report detailing 15 Americans with connections to ISIS named two teens who grew up in Columbus, and a man who married one of the teens.

According to documents obtained by NBC News Zakia Nasrin, now 24, grew up in Columbus, attended high school, then disappeared. She later married Jaffrey Khan, an ISIS sympathizer she met online. Nasrin and her new husband later joined her brother, Rasel Raihan, in Syria.

Jaffrey Khan is described as a troubled teen who showed no interest in religion until, his friends said, he suddenly became a devout Muslim. He later grew “hateful” of America according to a family member.

Khan and Nasrin came back to Columbus and Nasrin applied to attend Ohio State University. Raihan moved in with the couple, and months later all three left for Syria.

Family members say they last heard than Khan and Nasrin had a baby girl, and were working in a hospital in Raqqa.

The report says that Raihan was killed in Syria, citing family and a U.S. intelligence source.
