State police troopers are investigating the report of someone being pinned down and pepper sprayed during a Wednesday robbery at Sauvie Island's Walton Beach.

The assault and robbery was reported to have happened at some point between 7 p.m. and midnight, according to an Oregon State Police news release.

Troopers haven't reported any injuries in the case, said Sgt. Kyle Hove, a state police spokesman. He didn't know the person's sex or what items were reported stolen.

The two men reported to be involved are described as being in their 20s. One has a thin build; shaved head; cross tattoos under both eyes; and a large, red face tattoo that starts at his left eyebrow and goes down the left side of his face. He may have more tattoos on his arms.

The other man is about 5-foot-11 and has a husky build and dark hair.

They allegedly stole the items from a backpack, troopers said.

Troopers ask anyone with information about the case to call Trooper Joe Dezso at 503-410-1503 or the agency's Northern Command Center at 800-452-7888.
