Cardinal Burke: Islam is ‘fundamentally a form of government’

Cardinal Raymond Burke said in a telephone interview that Islam is “fundamentally a form of government.”
Speaking with Religion News Service, the patron of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta said that “when they (Muslims) become the majority in any country they have the duty to submit the whole population to sharia.”
He continued:
When they become a majority in any country then they have the religious obligation to govern that country. If that’s what the citizens of a nation want, well, then, they should just allow this to go on. But if that’s not what they want, then they have to find a way to deal with it … And if you do understand that and you are not at peace with the idea of being forcibly under an Islamic government, then you have reason to be afraid.
Recalling the Battles of Lepanto (1571) and Vienna (1683), Cardinal Burke said that “these historical events relate directly with the situation of today. There’s no question that Islam wants to govern the world.”
“I think the appropriate response,” he added, “is to be firm about the Christian origin of our own nation, and certainly in Europe, and the Christian foundations of the government, and to fortify those.”

I'm not too worried about the U.S. My observation is that when Muslims come to this country, they and their children tend to become slackards in their faith, like the Catholics did before them.

If only our politicians and the elites understood Islam as well as Cardinal Burke does. Before it's too late.

Sigh! That is exactly what is happening in France. The same is starting in the European Union. Muslim immigrants are brought in to create a majority. America should be warned. The pope said that Islam is parallel to Christianity. He is playing a dangerous game. JPII was shot by the Russians for standing up to them. It is about time that we have a pope who stands up to evil instead of placating it. JPII called America a "Culture of Death". Francis disagrees and worries about global warming.

Hurray! Historically, popes and saints have led the battles, yes, the military battles, to prevent the triumph of Islam. Today, who will speak and act as they did?
