Police are asking the public for help in reuniting a tricycle with a man who has Down syndrome.Lawrence police said someone stole the tricycle off the back of a man's truck while he was working at a welding company. It belongs to the man's 37-year-old son, and the pair rides it every Sunday for years. Police posted about the crime on Facebook, where it was shared hundreds of times, prompting many offers of donations. "I think there was 400 shares, or something like that, on Facebook. One guy wants to start a little petition, or something for Jeffrey, but he doesn't even know any of these people. It's awesome! How people can be so kind," said Janice Furey, the aunt of the tricycle's owner. The family says they would accept the return of the tricycle with no questions asked. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 978-794-5900.Get the WCVB News App
