Update: The beta is now live and open to everyone. Download it here.
The Battlefield 1 open beta has been going on already for Battlefield Insiders, members of the press and other lucky gamers.
Today the beta opens up to the public, giving everyone a chance to download the game and give it a spin.
The beta includes one giant map, the Sinai Desert, which features an armored train, wild dust storms and combat across sandy dunes and through a shell-shocked desert town.
I spent several hours with the beta on Tuesday, and basically fell in love with the game. Read my first impressions here.
The game went live for early players Tuesday at 12 p.m. EST. While EA has not announced the exact start time as of this writing, 12 p.m. PST Wednesday is a safe bet.
If you're in the beta, let us know what you think. And stay tuned for lots more Battlefield 1 coverage here at Forbes Games.
