Google has gradually been expanding its Amazon rival across the United States and merely weeks after it announced an expansion to much of Northeastern U.S., the company today announced that Google Express has now been expanded to almost 90 percent of the United States. The service has gone live in several new states across the Southeast and Northwest regions of the country.

Google Express has been launched today in select markets across Alabama, Kentucky, Utah, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.

Google Express as created as a competitor to Amazon Prime Now, it’s also a same-day delivery service that’s limited to Amazon Prime members in select markets across the country. Google Express has partnered with some big retailers, including but not limited to PetSmart, Fry’s, Road Runner Sports, Guitar Center, Walgreens, Whole Foods, and more.

These new markets will enable the service to reach over 70 million additional people. Combine this figure with the markets that are already served by Google Express and the company says that this service now covers nearly 90 percent of the United States. Most items ordered through Google Express can be delivered in one day while others may take up to two days. Customers have to abide by store minimums which can range between $15 to $35.
