LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Las Vegas man has been sentenced to at least 35 years in prison for sexually assaulting a young girl.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (https://bit.ly/2gIC8i0 ) that 47-year-old Paul Roberts on Thursday was sentenced to between 35 years and life in prison after previously being convicted of nine counts, including sexual assault with a minor under 14, lewdness with a child under 14 and child abuse. He was acquitted of one count of child abuse.

Prosecutors say that between 2011 and March 2013, Roberts sexually assaulted a girl. The girl disclosed the abuse to a relative when she was 11.



Roberts’ attorney could not be reached for comment Thursday.
