Addressing an election rally in SP’s stronghold Kannauj, he had said that CM Akhilesh Yadav does not know how ‘cunning Congress people are’ and reminded him about an ‘assassination attempt’ made on his father Mulayam Singh Yadav in 1984 allegedly by a Congress leader.

The state recorded 65.5 perc ent voter turnout in the second phase yesterday. In the first phase, 63 per cent turnout was recorded. Results will be declared on March 11.
