KOLLAM: Kollam Police clarified Aneesh had not raised any further complaint of harassment on social media after having met City Police Commissioner S Satheesh Bino on February 17.
According to the police, the five persons involved in the incident were arrested by Karunagapally and Oachira police within two days after Aneesh - along with his female friend - met the Kollam city police chief.
“After the arrest of the five persons, we didn’t hear from him nor was any sort of complaint filed by him. We are investigating the case and the aspects relating to the release of the harassment video through social media will also be investigated.
Any other person involved in the case will be booked too,” said Special Branch ACP Shihabudeen. Aneesh and his friend were abused verbally and physically by a five-member gang on February 14 at the Azheekal beach.
The miscreants shot the entire harassment episode on video and later released it on social media.
