Prefontaine Classic Track and Field

Two-time Olympic gold-medalist Christian Taylor, a Hayward Field crowd favorite, will head a world-class field for the 2017 Prefontaine Classic.
Prefontaine Classic officials announced the field on Monday.
Taylor, who has the No. 2 jumper in history of 59 feet, 9 inches, will square off with U.S. rival Will Claye, a two-time Olympic silver-medalst, and 2016 bronze medalist Bin Dong of China as part of a seven-man field.
Taylor is the reigning meet champion.
The Pre Classic will take place May 26-27 at Hayward Field in Eugene.
