Tennessee’s upcoming tourism events include rock, jazz, bluegrass and everything in-between concerts, Bristol Food City 500, hometown festivals and more. For a complete list of Tennessee events, visit tnvacation.com/calendar.

April 14-15

Jackson – The 2nd annual Jacob Barker Music Fest has more than 20 bands performing, jumpers for kids, prizes and more 3 p.m.

to 10:30 p.m. CT April 14 and 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. CTApril 15 at The Amp.

Knoxville – The Knoxville Square Dance takes place 8 p.m. ET April 13; Malcolm Holcombe brings his Pretty Little Troubles Tour 8 p.m. ET April 14; and The Naughty Knots perform old-time, jazz, blues and fiddle tunes 8 p.m. ET April 15 all at the Laurel Theater.

Nashville – The event, Beethoven’s Second & Symphony Soloists Play New American Classics is presented by the Nashville Symphony 8 p.m. CT at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

April 14, 21

Townsend – Tour Cades Cove and discover parts of it that most visitors never experience on the Behind the Scenes Tour of Cades Cove with Mike Meldrum, departing 10 a.m. ET from the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center.

April 14-23

Nashville – The Nerd is the current show currently on stage at the Chaffin’s Barn. Have dinner, see the show and save a little with $35 tickets that include a prime rib buffet and show.

April 15

Nashville – Join hit songwriters, famous musicians and others to celebrate Billy Block with doors open at noon and the show beginning 1 p.m. CT at 3rd and Lindsley. Tickets range $15-$25.

April 20

Nashville – Pink Floyd Overload is an immersive experience of sight and sound with lasers and fulldome imagery with The Dark Side of the Moon 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. CT ; and The Other Side of Pink Floyd 9 p.m. CT at Adventure Science Center.

April 20-21

Nashville – Grammy and International Bluegrass Music Association Award-winning mandolinist Mike Compton performs 6-8 p.m. CT April 20 and jazz guitarist Geary Moore performs 6-8 p.m. CT April 21 at the Frist Center Cafe inside the Frist Center for the Visual Arts.

April 21, 28

Clinton – Sheep Shearing Days, the tradition of trimming the winter’s growth of heavy wool from its flock of sheep, takes place 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET at Museum of Appalachia, a Smithsonian Affiliate Museum.

April 21-22

Bethpage – The Spring Fling Market features a variety of vendors selling vintage and antique treasures, home decor, jewelry, fresh flowers, garden decor, apparel and more 4-7 p.m. CTat the Friday Night Sneak Peek and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT Saturday at Briar Rose Hill.

Jackson – More than 20 bands and artists, arts and crafts, vendors and more are at the 2017 Greenlight Festival 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. CT at Ricochet.

April 21-23

Lookout Mountain – Take a stroll through nature at the ninth annual EarthDayz 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET and enjoy Birds of Prey Shows, how-to recycling projects and educational demonstrations at Rock City.

Townsend – The eighth annual Smoky Mountain Fiber Arts Festival has more than 40 classes by fiber arts professionals, family activities, demonstrations, live animal displays such as Angora rabbits, sheep and goats, and the always-popular Marketplace of Vendors at Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center

Union City – Civil War Days Weekend includes reenactors, an encampment, a ladies tea, and firing demonstrations including cannon demonstrations at Discovery Park of America. The event is free with park admission. Civil War Letters Dinner Theater includes a drama, dinner and cocktail hour beginning 5:30 p.m. CT on the lawn of the Discovery Park of America. Tickets are $35.

April 21-29

Athens – The performance of John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men is performed by the Athens Community Theatre 7:30 p.m. ET April 21-22, 27-29 with a 2 p.m. ET matinee April 23 in the Sue E. Trotter Theater at The Arts Center.

April 22

Jackson – Echoes Magical History Tour is a more than two-hour showcase of rock music featuring world class musicianship and vocal harmony 7:30-9:30 p.m. CT at the Ned Mc Wherter Cultural Arts.

Knoxville – Jay Clark and Greg Horne bring a mixture of folk and bluegrass songwriting 8 p.m. ET at the Laurel Theater.

Knoxville – Show your Tennessee pride at the Orange & White Spring Game featuring the Tennessee Volunteers 4 p.m. ET at Neyland Stadium.

Murfreesboro – Parents’ Night Out: Bird Brainiacs features a make-your-own nachos bar, hands-on educational games and activities all about birds and museum exploration 5:30-9:30 p.m. CT at the Discovery Center.

Vonore – Take part in the finger weaving class taught by Sharon Ensminger 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET at the Sequoyah Birthplace Museum. Tickets are $25 and participants are asked to bring a small box and 2 skeins of heavyweight yarn of colors (one light, one dark).  

April 22, 29

Norris – BioBlitz event is planned to help the public discover as many life forms as possible in one location 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET April 22 at the Norris Songbird Trailhead and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET April 29 at the Chickamauga Dam Reservation in Chattanooga.

April 22-23

Chapel Hill – The Horton 100 Bike Ride Across Tennessee takes bicyclists of all skills through Middle Tennessee with 25-mile, 50-mile and 100-mile options beginning and ending at Henry Horton State Park.

April 23

Bristol – Food City 500 welcomes race fans to cheer their hearts out at this annual 500-lap, 266.5-mile NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Goodlettsville – Enjoy a double feature of vintage base ball with the Mountain City vs Brentwood Travellers at noon CT and Highland Rim Distillers vs. East Nashville Phoenix at 2:30 p.m. CT at Historic Mansker’s Station.

Jackson – The 7th annual Art in the Village Spring Art Festival features more than 80 regional artists and craft booths of paintings, pottery, jewelry, stained glass and needlework 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT at Art in the Village.

Memphis – Rajun Cajun Crawfish Festival is one of the largest one-day crawfish festivals and features food, live Cajun and Zydeco music, a crawfish-eating contest and crawfish races.

Nashville – All-Mozart Matinee is a concert full of Mozart’s symphonies and concertos performed by the Nashville Symphony 3 p.m. CT at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

April 23-29

Paris – World’s Biggest Fish Fry has more than six tons of catfish that’s served to thousands of visitors, plus a rodeo, parade and catfish races.

April 25-30

Nashville – Tony Award-winning The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time immerses audiences 7:30 p.m. CT April 25-278 p.m. CT April 282 p.m. and 8 p.m. CT April 29; and1 p.m. and 6 p.m. CT April 30 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
