MCD polls: What you need to know about Mehrauli constituency

Named after the Persian 'mehr' and 'auliya', meaning 'grace of the saint', Mehrauli once enjoyed pride of place as the capital of the Delhi sultans. In the last five years, however, civic authorities have show everything but grace towards the area. One of the biggest problems the area faces is haphazard geographical redistribution of localities, that leads to uneven growth.
