Lucknow: The day temperature rose considerably in several parts of Uttar Pradesh today with Hamirpur recording the maximum of 44.2 degrees Celsius.
According to the MeT, Hamirpur was the hottest place in the state with the mercury touching a high of 44.2 degrees Celsius.
The temperatures were high in Gorakhpur and Faizabad divisions, while it remained above normal in Varanasi, it said.
The weatherman said the weather will remain dry across the state in the next 48 hours.
Rain or thundershower is likely at isolated places on April 29, they added.
