No change in fuel prices in Qatar this month (May 2017)

Doha: One more month of relief for motorists as the Ministry of Energy and Industry has decided not to raise fuel prices in May

According to the new price list issued by the Ministry Super, Premium and Diesel prices in May will be the same as in April.

Super grade petrol will cost QR1.70, while premium grade petrol will remain at QR1.60.

Diesel will also remain the same at QR1.60 in May, same as April.

 

In April also the ministry had not increased the price of super and premium grade petrol.

In March the price had gone up by 5 dirhams in comparison to February prices.In February it was QR1.55 and QR1.65 respectively.

Diesel price had gone up by 5 dirhams in April from the March price of QR1.55, as per the list published by the ministry.

The ministry posted the prices on its website in line with the decision to review fuel prices every month, based on international prices.

The ministry announced in April 2016, that it will start pegging the fuel prices to the international market.

When the first list was announced in June the premium petrol was QR1.20 per litre and super was QR1.30 per litre. In June diesel was QR1.40 per litre.

From June 2016 to April 2017, the price of super and premium grade petrol has increased by 40 dirhams and diesel by 20 dirhams.
