Car Hire Companies that were engaged by the Electoral Commission of Zambia-ECZ-during the 2016 general elections have still not yet been paid.
This is in spite of having been promised to be paid on Wednesday April 26, 2017.
Group representative, Kwalela Situmbeko, says the ECZ is now promising to pay them on Friday instead.
Mr. Situmbeko, says the matter will soon be tabled with President Edgar Lungu.
Mr Situmbeko we as Nakonde District Transporters Association commend you for the right decision you wish to take as a Group Rrepresentative so that you seek audience with the President because its too much of ECZ and its management to mistreatment car owners this way as if we did not render the services that has made Ministers and of course the President who he is today.We have equally,approached the Council,DC,PLGO and PS Muchinga regarding the same issue of delayed payment since August 2016 up todate our plight has not been considered despite assurances and promises.Against this background,we will greatly appreciate if you only met the President and lodge in our concerns since he may not be aware of what is currently obtaining at ECZ and thinks all is fine.The President intervention is welcome.Concerned Resident
