'One slip to the left or right and he's dead': Terrifying moment a tradesman 'BENCH PRESSES' an excavator weighing 30 tonnes on a construction site

A man on a building site has been filmed appearing to lift a 30,000 kilogram excavator.  

A short clip of the tradesman shows him lying under the machine and seemingly using his hands to lift it up and gently place it back down.

In the background, his colleagues can be heard cheering on their friend and encouraging him to keep going.

The video lasts for only 30 seconds, but in that time the man appears to do four presses with ease.

The machine, believed to be a 329 F Hydraulic Excavator, weighs about 30 tonnes or 30,000 kilograms. 

It is unclear what was making the excavator move up and down as the man lay under it, but it certainly sent tongues wagging on social media.  

Shared to Facebook page Aussie Comedy on Tuesday, the clip has 124,000 views. Many of the comments were positive, but some raised concerns.

'One slip to the left or right with that operator and he's dead,' one man commented.

Others congratulated him on his decision to wear a hard hat and hi vis vest during his daring feat.

'It's okay he wont die because he has a hard hat and hi-vis,' a Facebook user wrote. 

Those who did not have any strong opinion on the safety of his daring feat noted they would be using the video as gym motivation.
