Mini-Mahanadu seeks Chilli board

Vinukonda MLA GV Anjaneyulu was unanimously elected Telugu Desam district president for the second consecutive time at the Mini-Mahanadu of the party held at Sri Venkateswara Vignana Mandir here on Tuesday. Later, the district TDP passed 14 resolutions on various issues.

GUNTUR: Vinukonda MLA GV Anjaneyulu was unanimously elected Telugu Desam district president for the second consecutive time at the Mini-Mahanadu of the party held at Sri Venkateswara Vignana Mandir here on Tuesday. Later, the district TDP passed 14 resolutions on various issues.


The resolutions included naming of Amaravati seed capital area after former chief minister NT Rama Rao, setting up of a chilli board in Guntur, construction of a lift irrigation scheme at Pulichintala project to provide drinking and irrigation water to tail end areas in Gurazala and Pedakurapadu constituencies and linking of Palnadu region to Chennai - Vizag industrial corridor for the development of limestone industry.

The meeting hailed the initiatives taken by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to safeguard the interests of chilli and turmeric farmers following slump in the market prices. 


Roads and Buildings Minister and District In-charge Minister Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu, Civil Supplies Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao and Social Welfare Minister Nakka Anand Babu attended the TDP convention.
