Fran Drescher to host Cabaret Cruise for Cancer Schmancer

All of the proceeds will benefit Drescher’s non-profit organization, Cancer Schmancer. This event will include an all-VIP experience with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and dinner with Ms. Drescher and some of her dearest friends, followed by a night of New York’s finest cabaret talent.

This year’s performers will include such Broadway and Hollywood stars as Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Peter Marc Jacobson, Nathan Lucrezio, Will & Anthony Nunziata, Randy Roberts, Seth Rudetsky, Alex Rybeck, Jennifer Simard, as well as Lucia Spina.

In addition, it will feature a special appearance by Ann Hampton Callaway and Liz Callaway, the Tony-nominated sisters who sang “The Nanny” theme song.

Earlier this month, Drescher, who is best known as the lead actress, creator and executive producer of the beloved sitcom The Nanny, earned the Queens College Lifetime Achievement award at the Queens College GALA that took place at Gustavino’s in New York.

At that event, Fran Drescher sat down and chatted with Digital Journal about her Queens College award and her Cancer Schmancer Cabaret Cruise.
