ICSE results 2017: The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced the results of ICSE examination 2017 today at 3 pm. Muskan Abdulla Pathan from Pune and Ashwin Rao from Bangalore jointly shared the top position scoring 99.40 per cent. Pathan said. “Until Class 8, I didn’t even finish amongst the top 10 in school. By Class 9, I suddenly picked up and became the school topper. It was at that time that I decided that I have to crack my Class X board examinations with top scores but even I couldn’t imagine that I would get the topmost rank. I thought how can it be? So I began checking all the possible websites and didn’t believe it till the school directly called me.”

Like her mother, Pathan wish to become a doctor in future.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations(CISCE) had conducted the Class 10th exams on March 10 with English paper. The exams were ended on April 21.

The exams were reschedule due to Assembly elections in five states — Punjab, Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.   A total of 2,50,871 candidates are registered for the examinations out of which 1,76,327 students have registered for ICSE examinations and 74,544 for the ISC examinations.

Passing marks and passing percentage for class 10th for ICSE board

The passing marks for each of the ICSE paper for 10th standard is 35 marks. Overall passing percentage is also 35%. The overall passing percentage has to be over 35% for all subjects, with minimum 35 in each subject, to overall pass the class. If you overall cross 35% for all subjects and in one subject you got 30, which is below passing percentage, that subject will be considered compartment and you may need to take that exam again.

To check the result of CISCE ICSE Class 10th for 2017, you need to logon to the official website of CISCE, which is cisce.org. The results are expected at around 3 pm on 29th May, 2017. You may also check the results by sending an SMS to 09248082883, ICSE seven digit unique ID. As an example if your unique id is 1234567, then send an sms to 09248082883, “ICSE 1234567” and you will get your results.

From this year, CISCE students students can take help of digi locker and directly share their documents, files and certificates with various stakeholders. The storage space will be linked to their Unique Identification Authority of India (Aadhaar number).

“The service is free, secure and user-friendly,” CISCE Chief Executive Gerry Arathoon said in a notice.
