When unknown invaders forced their way into a home on Manitou Boulevard early Monday, two quick-thinking teen boys inside got out of the home through a window and called for help. The boys escaped unharmed, Colorado Springs Police said.
Three officers from the Gold Hill substation set up containment in the neighborhood southwest of Interstate 25 and West Uintah Street shortly after the call came in around 2 a.m. Monday, but didn’t catch the intruders.
It appeared as though the burglars had rummaged through personal possessions of the home’s occupants in search of valuables, police said.
It’s unknown at this time if anything was taken. No arrests were made.
Teens saw one person fleeing the home, according to police, and officers searched the area.
