Director Muthaiah has a knack of churning out village-based commercial entertainers. His previous projects Kutti Puli, Komban and Marudhu, are films that speak of caste violence in the village and a do-gooder(hero). His next offering, Kodi Veeran, will see him team up with Sasikumar for the second time. This film also has Mahima Nambiar and Sanusha of Renigunta fame in the lead roles.
The latest addition to the list is actress Poorna. A source close to the unit reveals, “Actress Poorna has been roped in to play a prominent role in the movie. However, I can’t divulge more information on her characterisation. Her portions in the flick will be interesting and will take the story forward.”
It is unclear whether the actress plays a negative role or not. An official confirmation about her inclusion will be out in a couple of days.
Also, reports suggest that the actress has already joined the team. The team shot some important sequences in and around Sivagangai.
Mahima who will be sporting a de-glam avatar in Kodi Veeran is paired opposite Sasikumar. Produced by Sasikumar’s home banner Company Productions, the flick is expected to be wrapped up in a couple of months.
