Barabanki native held with fake Rs 2,000 notes

LUCKNOW: Chinhat police arrested one with fake currency notes on Monday. The person arrested was identified as Mohammed Taqi of Barabanki. He was arrested with four fake Rs 2,000 currency notes on an informer’s tip-off at Kamta crossing.
Kamta police outpost in charge Chandra Kant Singh said an informer tipped them off about a person coming from Barabanki with fake currency so we started a checking drive.
“We found one suspicious person and when we frisked, got a box in which he had four ‘fake’ notes of Rs 2,000,” Singh said.
During interrogation, Taqi confessed he got the fake notes from Bablu Musalman, a dealer in Gorakhpur.
