The two alleged thieves were rescued by cops who took them to a government hospital for the first aid, but cuffed their legs and hands with shackle and chained the duo to the hospital bed. A video of the entire event was recorded in the camera and was circulated on web.
According to the police, the two cattle thieves, identified as Asif and Rehan who hailed from Nadrai area of Kasganj district, were caught by villagers early Tuesday morning.

Dasrath Singh, station house officer of Dehat kotwali, Etah said, “There were total eight men who came with a pickup truck to steal buffalo from Ghiraura village, but fortunately the local villagers spotted them and caught two of them, while the rest fled away. From their pickup truck, we recovered three buffaloes which were stolen from Firozabad district.”
He said, “It were the thieves who first fired shots from country-made pistols at villagers and attacked with lathis while the villagers surrounded and nab them, in response the villagers assaulted them.”

Interestingly, police didn’t recover any country-made pistols from the two apprehended men, who are nomads of Kasganj district. After the incident, the two accused were sent to district jail of Etah.
