Suspected thieves lynched in Rohtas
SASARAM: Two Mahadalit brothers were lynched by villagers at Parasia under Kochas police station area of Rohtas district on Wednesday night while they were allegedly trying to sneak into the house of a farmer Shaukat Ali. The deceased were identified as Rahu Musahar and Baban Mushar of Padari village under Sheosagar police station area of the district.
Sources said no family members of the deceased have gone underground out of fear that they might be victimized.

Kochas SHO Satish Kumar said an FIR against two dozen unknown villagers has been lodged in the case. He said the deceased had not criminal records.
The sources said after Shaukat raised an alarm on spotting two persons trying to enter his house, the villagers assembled with lathis and other weapons. The brothers fled but the villagers chased and caught them before thrashing the brothers.
After getting information around 1am on Thursday, the police reached the spot and admitted the two brothers to the local PHC. Rahu died immediately while his brother breathed his last at sadar hospital in Sasaram on Thursday morning.
