Khammam: A 17-year-old girl who went to attend the birthday bash of a friend was allegedly raped by four of her classmates. The girl had gone to the house of a common friend in Khammam city, police said on Monday. The accused also allegedly video graphed the act.
The girl is a degree student of a private college. She lodged a complaint on Monday at Khammam III Town police station and accused four boys of raping her two days ago at the birthday party of her friend, reports HT.
According to a police officer, the girl said the entire incident was filmed and she was threatened to not reveal the matter to anyone.
“After the girl lodged the complaint, a case on the charge of gang rape under the IPC (Indian Penal Code) and relevant sections of the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act was registered,” the official told.
When the official was asked if anyone was taken into custody or was being questioned, he said that the matter is under investigation.
