16 injured as RTC bus overturns on NH-16 in Vizag, traffic hit
The RTC bus, going from Narsipatnam to Visakhapatnam, was at high speed and the accident occurred when the driver took a sharp turn in his attempt to avoid collision with an auto-rickshaw.
VISAKHAPATNAM: Sixteen passengers on board sustained injuries after an RTC bus overturned near Port Hospital Junction in Visakhapatnam on the NH-16 on Monday afternoon.
The RTC bus, going from Narsipatnam to Visakhapatnam, was at high speed and the accident occurred when the driver took a sharp turn in his attempt to avoid collision with an auto-rickshaw. Sources said that an elderly woman received head injuries, while the other passengers escaped with minor wounds.
Vehicular movement was disrupted between Birla Junction and IV- Town police station due to the accident.
All the injured were shifted to Port Hospital.
