LUCKNOW: An alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba operative, wanted for his role in spying and unlawful activities, was arrested in Mumbai on Monday.
Identified as Salim Khan from Hathgaon block of Fatehpur district, the alleged LeT man was part of the hawala ring which transferred money to terror operatives in the country.
An alleged ISI operative, Aftab Ali, was arrested for spying on military installations from Faizabad in May this year and revealed that Salim used to wire money to him.

It has emerged that Salim was involved in anti-national activities for more than a decade and also visited terror camps in Pakistan.
Inspector general of UP anti-terrorist squad Asim Arun said that Kausar Faroqui and Mohammad Sharif, the two terrorists facing trial for Rampur CRPF terror attack in 2007, had got arms training along with Salim at Muzaffarabad.
Seven jawans and one more person died in the attack. Arun said a team was camping in Mumbai and would bring Salim to UP.
According to sources, Salim was apprehended at Mumbai airport as a lookout notice had been issued in his name.
The UP ATS and Maharashtra ATS were trying to gather details of members of sleeper cells who receive funds from Pakistan and are involved in unlawful activities.
