Ambulance arrives late, boy dies in Tumakuru

A boy died of suspected meningitis at Pavagada town on Tuesday. His parents alleged he died as they could not shift him to a hospital in Bengaluru in time due to unavailability of 108 ambulance.

TUMAKURU:  A boy died of suspected meningitis at Pavagada town on Tuesday. His parents alleged he died as they could not shift him to a hospital in Bengaluru in time due to unavailability of 108 ambulance.
The deceased was identified as Srinidhi(8), a class II student. He was treated at a government hospital and the doctors referred the case to Bengaluru. The parents waited for the ambulance for two hours but in vain.
