The revelation of a high school crush came back to haunt Dave, with co-host Kate inviting the comedian's former teacher on to their show.

'I thought that my Saturday morning job pushing the trolleys at Woolies would be able to help out financially,' he explained.
'It never happened and I thought it was maybe because I was a student.
'So I rang her when I was about 20, drunk one night, and apparently it wasn't the fact that I was a student, it was the fact that she wasn't into me.'

'I'm standing here blushing but otherwise I am OK,' Miss Dalton said.
The teacher, who has since married, still remembered the phone call which according to Dave went for 'at least 30 minutes'.
'If I do recall correctly you had just won a grand final or been to a grand final,' Miss Dalton said.
'We discussed that it wasn't quite appropriate for teachers and ex-students to hook up, didn't we?'
Despite her rejection of the comedian, Miss Dalton told Kate she had nothing but fond memories of Dave as a student.
'He was lovely Kate - he was a lovely student and very bright,' she said.
