ALBANY -- A new law enforcement program starts in Albany today, one that puts State Police troopers in the cars with city police officers.
The city hopes the partnership will help decreased violence in crime-ridden neighborhoods.
Acting Police Chief Robert Sears says only two or three troopers will be in Albany at any given time, and the city's policing policies won't change.
He says prior "blue-grey" patrols have been successful in reducing crime.
