VISHAKHAPATNAM: A petty row over garbage took a drastic turn after a family of four barged into their neighbours house late on Thursday night and beat him to death with stones, all while his daughter was present in the house at Ravulampalem village in Visakhapatnam district.

The deceased, L Srinivasa Rao (40), was a proclaine driver; drove an earth-mover machine, by profession and shared an open space in front of his house with his neighbour L Appalanaidu, according to inspector (Rural) Ramachandra Rao. He added that all four accused have been taken into custody.

Preliminary information shows there were petty issues over the drainage and dumping of waste. Both families have reportedly been involved in several arguments concerning the issue.

On Thursday night,  Srinivasa Rao was beaten to death by stones after Appala Naidu, his wife Varalakshmi, son Apparao and daughter-in-law Chinnamulu went to his house.
