Three held, illegal slaughterhouse sealed in Bhojpur

ARA: An illegal slaughter house that was being run at Ranisagar village in Bhojpur district has been sealed by the police.
Raids were conducted after allegedly a beef laden truck was intercepted by the local youths and the members of some right wing organizations on Thursday morning at Shahpur on the Ara-Buxar road.
ASP Dayashankar told this correspondent on Friday that an FIR has been lodged against six persons for indulging in illegal meat smuggling.The ASP said while 3 persons have been arrested, the other three were still absconding. He said though the situation was normal and peaceful on Friday, additional police forces were deployed in the area as a precautionary measure, keeping in view that Ranisagar is a sensitive area.
Bhojpur DM Sanjiv Kumar said appropriate action will be taken against any illegal slaughterhouse being run in the district.
