Four Spanish tourists killed in accident in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh

The deceased included a female tourist.

In a gory road mishap, four tourists from Spain and an Indian driver, were killed on the spot, when their mini bus had a head-on collision with a container at Eedigapalle village of Punganur mandal, 60 km from here on Saturday morning.

According to Punganur police, a group of 11 tourists from Spain, were on their way to Pondicherry from Puttaparthi. Around 9.00 a.m., they left Madanapalle after visiting a missionary hospital. Close to Punganur, their vehicle met with the accident, which left it mangled.

The deceased included a female tourist. Four others were rushed to a hospital in Madanapalle. The container was seized and its driver was taken into custody. A heavy traffic jam followed on the busy national highway.
