NELLORE: In a bizarre incident, a three-year-old boy and a senior citizen was attacked on the road by a couple of pigs at Kavali town in Nellore district on Friday morning.
The incident was caught on tape by local residents when the elderly lady was being mowed down on the road where she suffered grievous injuries. In the video, the pig having its piglets around felt threatened by the VP Jani (60) and attacked it multiple times before people threw stones at it to shoo them away.
In the video, a man could be heard saying, "No matter how many times we inform the municipal corporation, they don't care." Koteswara Rao, Kavali PC in-charge speaking to TOI said, "previously the residents have killed some of the pigs and sought them to evict the place, the pig owners went to courts and got a stay against municipal eviction orders and but it also sought that he should rear them in a field and not let loose on the roads."
Koteswara Rao also pointed that the same pigs attacked a 3-year-old right before the incident and still the pig owners did not bother. Currently, Jani is receiving treatment at a local Kavali government hospital.
