Kalimpong police station. Police said the arrested persons - Vijay Chetri and Ashok Rai - are
Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) supporters.
On 20 August, at around 10.30pm, a high intensity bomb was thrown at a police station in Kalimpong. The explosion was of such intensity that a civic policeman died on the spot and two other were severely injured.
Locals said two people on a bike came and lobbed the explosive - apparently a grenade - into the police station.
It was a high intensity blast and parts of the explosive were recovered from some distance from the spot. GJM chief
