Fifa 18 will be released later this month - and the Riverside WILL be in it.

Boro’s ground is one of just five Championship stadiums that will feature in the hotly-anticipated video game.

Footage of what the Riverside will look like hasn’t been released yet. Last August, the ground was featured in the official Fifa 17 trailer .

The trailer for the 2018 edition - released on September 29 - focuses on Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Currently, things like Boro’s player ratings are still unknown, although more may become known in the forthcoming weeks - especially with a demo due to drop on September 15.

And ratings will start to be released this week, according to developer EA Sports.

And a Beta version of the game will be released to handful of fans from September 18.

However, fans shouldn’t expect massive changes - as the game will run on the same engine as last year.

But there will be improvements - especially graphics - with more detail and sharper features.

The popular story mode will return, this time called: ‘The Journey: Hunter Returns’ which will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platform versions only.
