SURI (WEST BENGAL): A Trinamool Congress worker was shot dead while the body of a party's minority cell leader was found in Birbhum district, police said today.
Seikh Goleman (55) elder brother of local TMC village panchayat member Seikh Irfan was shot dead in his house at Sultanpur village last night.
Irfan alleged that armed miscreants raided their house on Thursday night and tried to kill him but by mistake they killed his elder brother.
Irfan has lodged a police complaint against seven persons for killing his brother, the police said.
The body of TMC minority cell leader Dukhu Seikh (57) was found at Rasa village last night, police said adding that they are investigating the matter.
