Saharanpur witnessed caste violence between Dalits and Thakurs May 2017.  Centre for Study of Society and Secularism is organising a workshop on “Violence and Marginalization” from 4th to 6th October 2017.

The workshop will have talks on these topics: Analysis of Conflicts and Violence in India, Present Challenges to the Rights of the Marginalized, Ambedkar’s Thoughts on Hindutva, RSS and Hindutva Ideology, Contextualizing Dalit Oppression in the Framework of Hindutva Ideology, Hindutva and Gender

Speakers will include Neha Dabhade, Irfan Engineer, Shamsul Islam, Subhash Gatade and Rajni Tilak

A Film Screening is also scheduled at the workshop.
