Luke Pasqualino and Michelle Keegan make a hot couple in ITV drama Our Girl, but they apparently don’t feel it.

Michelle recently confessed to cringing during their onscreen intimate moments, and now Luke has admitted that he also struggles to feel sexy during the steamy scenes.

While appearing on This Morning he told the hosts: ‘It’s always quite awkward because you’ve got a crew of men with cameras watching you so it’s difficult to feel sexy in those situations.

‘You just have to get on with it, whether you like it. You’ve got to get in there and do it.’

Speaking of his new found appreciation for the armed forces having filmed two series of the hit show, he said: ‘[I have] a massive appreciation. I’ve got a heightened respect for our military now, hearing their first-hand stories you can’t help but feel for them.

‘When you’re so far away from what you know back home you create a new family. It’s so important. These guys need to know the man behind you has your back.’

The hugely popular drama series that focuses on Georgie Lane, who joins the Army medical corps when she realises her life is at a dead end, is set to return in October. Luke, 27, plays the role of Elvis Harte, her estranged lover and he who praised Michelle, 30 – the wife of budding TV presenter Mark Wright – for being a total professional.

‘Working with Michelle is amazing – she’s hilarious,’ Luke told the BBC. ‘How could anyone not get on with Michelle? She knows everyone’s name on set and [is] a complete pro. She’s beautiful and lovely inside and out, and Michelle has really taken the show to new levels,’ he continued.

And not to be confused with real life, Luke then explained to the website how his character Elvis has increasingly growing feelings towards medic Georgie.

‘[Elvis is] Incredibly head over heels in love with her and he wants to reconcile,’ he reveals. ‘She obviously still has her guard up and that frustrates Elvis, to know that there’s little he can say or do to win her back, but that doesn’t stop him from trying! I do respect him for that,’ he added.
