Government transfers 12 IAS, 28 IPS officers

Two days before civic polls are expected to be notified, the BJP government transferred 12 IAS and 28 IPS officers late on Wednesday evening.

LUCKNOW: Two days before civic polls are expected to be notified, the BJP government transferred 12 IAS and 28 IPS officers late on Wednesday evening. District magistrate and police chiefs of two districts-Allahabad and Unnao-were transferred together.
DMs of three districts-Unnao, Allahabad and Budaun-were shifted apart from nine other IAS officers around 11pm.

Allahabad DM Sanjay Kumar was made special secretary, revenue, and Suhas LY was brought in his place. Ravikumar NG is now Unnao DM while Dinesh Kumar (II) who was serving as special secretary, home, was posted as Budaun DM.
Police chiefs of 10 districts were transferred. Kanpur DIG Sonia Singh was replaced by 2005 batch IPS officer Akhilesh Kumar. Sonia was sent to Meerut police training school as DIG.
S Anand Kulkarni was shifted to Sitapur from Allahabad as police chief. Akash Kulhary from 2006 batch would now head the police force in Allahabad. Kulhary was posted as Gorakhpur SP during Akhilesh regime.
Pushpanjali Devi has replaced Neha Pandey as Unnao SP. Pandey is now special secretary to the governor.
Sitapur SP Mrigendra Singh was shifted to Fatehgarh. Kuntal Kishore was posted as Amethi SP and Pradip Gupta as Kaushambi SP. Amroha SP Santosh Kumar Mishra was posted as Ambedkar Nagar police chief while Sudhir Kumar Singh was shifted from Ambedkar Nagar to Amroha in his place. Ratan Kant Pandey was placed as Kanpur Dehat SP.
