4 withdraw in Hamirpur

HAMIRPUR: Four candidates contesting from five segments withdrew their nomination papers today.

Four candidates contesting from five segments withdrew their nomination papers today. Now, only 28 are left in the fray.

Those who withdrew papers are Prem Kaushal (Bhoranj), leaving five in the fray, including Kamlesh Kumari, BJP, Suresh Kumar, Congress, Praveen Kaushal BSP, Madan Lal, Samaj Adhikar Kalyan Party and Dhani Ram, an Independent.

In Sujanpur, no nomination was withdrawn. There, five remain in the race -- Prem Kumar Dhumal, BJP, Rajinder Rana, Congress, Parveen Thakur, BSP, Joginder Thakur, CPM, and Ravinder Dogra, NCP.

In Hamirpur, two Independents -- Amar Chand and Kanshi Ram Bharti -- withdrew their papers. There, seven candidates -- Kuldeep Pathania, Congress, Narende Thakur, BJP, Anil Mankotia, CPM, Lal Singh Mastana, BSP, Raj Kumar, Samaj Adhikar Kalyan Party, and Asheesh Kumar and Kamal Pathania, both Independents, will contest the poll.

In Barsar, no nomination was withdrawn. Five candidates -- Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, Congress, Baldev Sharma, BJP, Saroti Devi, BSP, Vinod Thakur, LGP, and Sita Ram Bhardwaj, an Independent, are in the fray.

In Nadaun, Hardyal Singh withdrew his nomination and now six candidates are in the race -- HPCC president Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Vijay Agnihotri, BJP, Ravi Praksah, BSP, and Independents Prithi Singh, Lekh Raj and Ranjit Singh.
