Police in central Alberta are investigating, after thieves targeted a store in Caroline, and allegedly made off with a number of items, including firearms.

RCMP said at about 5 a.m. Friday, officers responded to a break in at Caroline Supplies.

It’s believed a truck was used to smash through the front of the store, before two suspects, believed to be male and female, entered the store.

It’s believed they took a variety of items, including some long barreled firearms.

Investigators said a stolen Chevrolet Silverado was involved in the theft. The vehicle was abandoned by the suspects elsewhere in Caroline.

The male suspect has been described as:

  • Caucasian
  • Stocky build
  • Wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with grey striping down the side, a ball cap, blue jeans and black shoes

The female suspect was described by police as:

  • Caucasian
  • Very slim build
  • Wearing blue jeans, black high-top shoes, a grey shirt under a black jacket, a black toque with a grey pompom and black gloves
