Photos were released Friday of a man who has robbed two King Soopers stores in Lakewood four times over a four-month span.
The robber approaches the service desk in the store and waits for customers to clear out, appearing to talk on the phone as he waits, according to Lakewood police. The robber then hands a robbery note and a tote bag to the clerk. The note demands that the clerk give him money “so no one would get hurt,” according to a news release. All four times the robber has struck between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m.
Soopers at 1545 S. Kipling St. was robbed on July 18. Another store, 1927 S. Wadsworth Blvd., was robbed on July 21, Sept. 5 and Oct. 25, police said.
Anyone who recognizes the man in the photos, or who has information on the robberies, is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).
