TOWIE: 'I felt nothing!' Returning star Danielle Armstrong recalls 'awkward' reunion with ex-beau James Lock and new flame Yazmin Oukhellou... as they 'storm out' over her show comeback

She made the decision to quit The Only Way Is Essex last year, after her four year relationship with ex-boyfriend James Lock broke down. 

But Danielle Armstrong has since reunited with her former flame, as she has made a sensational comeback to the ITVBe reality series that shot her to stardom and will now feature alongside Lockie and his new girlfriend Yazmin Oukhellou. 

Having already filmed her first scenes for her return to the show, Danielle described her reunion with James as 'one of the most awkward experiences of her life', but insists she now feels 'nothing' for her old love.

Danielle had initially quit TOWIE in her hope to gain closure from her break up with James. The pair had dated for several years and were living together, but their romance proved to be tumultuous and they had split on a number of occasions. 

Speaking to The Sun, the reality beauty has claimed she has since fully moved on from her ex-beau and wasn't fazed by seeing him again with a new girl on his arm. 

She said: 'It was so strange to be standing there in front of someone that I’d spent four years [with] and we’ve been through everything together and he’s standing there with a new girlfriend like arm round her and I felt nothing.'

'I didn’t even get those butterflies or even feel, "Have I done the right thing?"'

Addressing James storming out of filming, with Yazmin in tow, once he saw again, Danielle said: 'I don't think they were too happy!'

The blonde bombshell is set to return to TOWIE on Sunday and a teaser episode had seen Lockie walk off set - undoubtedly not too pleased to see his blast from the past, following their acrimonious split and Danielle's alleged row with his new flame Yazmin, earlier this year.  

On Saturday, Danielle confirmed for one night she would star in the special, filmed in Norfolk, where she must come face-to-face with her ex and his girlfriend.

Naturally it was tipped to be explosive,  as her last awkward run-in with the couple reportedly saw her thrown out of Essex club Sheesh after a heated exchange in April.

The teaser clip showed just how shocking the arrival is set to be, as Danielle was unveiled to the group by pulling down her hood - after which James appears to storm out when Danielle simply says: 'Happy Halloween'. 

As the grinning stunner looks at her former co-star, enraged James said: 'How’s that even funny?', before Chloe Sims goes to hug Danielle while cheekily stating: 'You’re not very subtle are you?'

Loved-up: As Wednesday's episode came to a close, the next time segment saw the show's resident hunk storm out of the bash, undoubtedly due to his acrimonious split from Danielle and her alleged row with his girlfriend Yazmin Oukhellou earlier this year
