Ann Shelby – Food Science and Technology – Entrepreneurship/Placement Proficiency

Ann Shelby, a member of the Zane Trace FFA Chapter in Ohio, has a passion for food science and solving problems with food insecurity around the world. She studied fruits to see which ones were more nutrient dense and looked into preserving eggs with coconut oil for more than 30 days without refrigeration that would be able to be used in food pantries and other countries.

Shelby, the daughter of Carol, plans to study chemical engineering or food bioloogical and environmental engineering. Her FFA advisors are Jennifer Johnston and Aaron Miller.
