Donald Trump Admits His Michael Moore Tweet Diss ‘Not At All Presidential’

Amidst a tweet dump about releasing the John F. Kennedy files, Donald Trump pivoted to make a jab at Michael Moore, whose one-man Broadway show, “The Terms of My Surrender,” has come to an end after a 13-week run.

“While not at all presidential I must point out that the Sloppy Michael Moore Show on Broadway was a TOTAL BOMB and was forced to close. Sad!” the president tweeted Saturday afternoon.

Earlier on Saturday, Moore posted an Instagram of his second-to-last show, where he was joined by Woody Harrelson.

“With the great Woody Harrelson on stage at my penultimate performance on Broadway. Nights like these I’ll never forget,” he said in the photo’s caption. “And not just because of all the ganja we smoked before the show. Ok, that didn’t happen. We dropped acid instead. Um, that didn’t happen either. Woody did read a beautiful note from his 21-year old daughter about how we must defeat greed and create a better world. Then we danced. That happened.”

“The Terms of My Surrender” had a limited run that ended on Oct. 22. The show had anti-Trump themes and grossed more than $450,000 in its first week. The show’s final gross was more than $4 million, according to BroadwayWorld.com. A spokesman for the show told the Wall St. Journal that that the production may show in San Francisco in early 2018.

In August, the Academy Award-winning director led his Broadway audience to Trump Tower to protest the president’s remarks following the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, at the hands of white supremacist groups.
