Iconic Expands E-Discovery Translation Solutions with Relativity Plug-In

Iconic Translation Machines (Iconic), a machine translation software and solutions provider for the legal industry, has introduced its new translation software plug-in for Relativity, the e-discovery platform.

The software plug-in enables automated translation of foreign language documents for litigation, investigations, and information governance. Equipped to handle data in any format, on-demand, and at scale, the software allows firms to search for and find relevant documents within any multilingual content directly in Relativity.

As multilingual data volumes and varieties grow along with e-discovery demand, a shift is taking place in how e-discovery professionals manage foreign language review, said Iconic CEO John Tinsley, noting that customized translation software with enhanced quality will improve the speed of access to information and faster identification of relevant information.

According to the vendors,  Relativity plug-in is being introduced at a time when foreign language content within e-discovery is becoming more complex and more frequently encountered as global data volumes and formats grow. Supporting automatic language identification for over 50 languages and 2,000 language combinations for both native and text files, the software translates vast amounts of multilingual content quickly, securely, and effectively. The Relativity integration has also been designed to point to both cloud and on-premise versions of Iconic’s software, with the option to use geo-fenced servers in specific locations, depending on the needs of the case.

Iconic is now part of the Relativity App Hub, which includes applications and integrations built by Relativity developer partners.
