Forget to CHECK your bottom half? Leggy Rita Ora wears little more than a Burberry raincoat as she makes a style statement in New York

The head of the fashion house has just stepped down - but Rita Ora proved that Burberry is firmly on fashionistas' radars on Thursday.

Stepping out in little more than a raincoat from the brand, Rita showed off her long legs on her exit from her New York hotel.

The 26-year-old made quite the style statement with just eye-wateringly short hotpants beneath her zip-up outerwear.

Rita made the outfit into quite a 'look' by accessorising with a chunky gold wristwatch sovereign rings right across her knuckles.

In a nod to the Noughties heyday of Burberry's check print, she also added gold hoop earrings and wore her hair scraped back off her face.

Now, widely considered to have gone from 'chav to chic', Burberry is being favoured by fashion's younger generation, including Jude Law's model daughter Iris and Liam Gallagher's son Lennon - who both attended the September 2017 show.

It has also come back around for such style influencers as Rihanna, who wore the look with golf socks and a little black dress in October.

The brand got its kudos back in 2014, when the shows became a staple for models like Cara Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse, The Beckhams' teenage son Romeo made his modelling debut with the brand.

The singer took her love for Burberry to the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards in late October, where she unfortunately hit a bum note in the preppy Burberry co-ord and cap.

She caught attention in her head-to-toe designer wear, consisting of a baggy, oversized shirt and matching boy shorts.

Rita buttoned the shirt to the top to shroud her famous figure, and added preppy leather loafers, worn over clean white ankle socks, to maintain the androgynous feel throughout.

Earlier on Thursday, the 'Hot Right Now' singer showed off her natural golden glow as she went make up free while grabbing a taxi in the Big Apple.

Boasting her toned derriere, Rita was dressed in skin tight leggings, a light Reebok jacket and sporty Adidas trainers, all while remaining under the radar in dark shades.

With her blonde locks hid under a cap, the singer was wrapped in a multi-coloured scarf.

The singer previously revealed that while she was not 'completely happy' with her body in the past, she now loves her curvy shape.

'I didn't start working out to get skinnier—I started working out to feel better. And I think it's important for women to know that,' she told Shape magazine in April.

'Don't be obsessed with being thin. You just have to be fit, healthy, and strong.

'I love my shape because it's curvy. I have thighs. I'm a size 28 in jeans. And that's an average, normal size. I'm proud that I'm normal.'
