Thousands of people will be flocking to Stockton’s Riverside this weekend for the town’s spectacular firework display.

The free event - this year with an Epic Movie Songs theme - will take place on Sunday, November 5.

And with around 25,000 visitors expected, if you are planning to be among them you might have a few questions - especially when it comes to getting there.

So here’s everything you need to know - from the timings and road closures to the weather and entertainment to expect.

What’s on

The evening will begin with a special BBC Tees Radio Roadshow, presented by Neil Green and Amy Oakden – featuring special guests including Paul Mooney and Pudsey Bear along with music performances from local bands, The Jar Family and boyband Trilogy.

The display will feature songs from classic films like Jaws, James Bond, Dirty Dancing, Harry Potter, and Superman, before a colourful finale to ‘Let It Go’ from Disney’s Frozen.

Visitors can also enjoy a fairground in Parliament Street car park as well as a smaller children’s funfair at High Street car park. There will also be refreshments on sale at Bishop Street car park.
